Blood Pressure Support is designed to help maintain healthy blood pressure in conjunction with a healthy diet.

Niacin is a B vitamin which works in the liver. It reduces the production of LDL (“bad”) cholesterol, a leading cause of high blood pressure.  In addition, niacin helps decrease platelet aggregation and blood clotting.  According to the University of Maryland, niacin “is more effective in increasing HDL ("good") levels than other cholesterol-lowering medications.”

Vitamins B-12, B-6 and folic acid are the body’s natural resources for reconverting homocysteine into amino acids.  High levels of homocysteine are linked to artery damage and high cholesterol. Individuals with a genetic disorder or vitamin deficiency may not be able to process excess homocysteine; however, supplementation with vitamins B-12, B-16 and folic acid can safeguard against unhealthy build-up of homocysteine levels.

Hawthorne berry helps reduce stress placed on the heart by obesity.  It helps heart tissue store oxygen during and after exercise.  Hawthorne berry also dilates the blood vessels.  For all these reasons, hawthorne berry is a healthy, all-natural way to help the body lower its cholesterol.

Garlic is a popular common remedy for high blood pressure.  It may reduce cholesterol and dangerous triglyceride levels.  It is also a blood thinner, so patients taking prescription blood thinners should be careful when supplementing with garlic.

Hibiscus is another herbal remedy traditionally used to combat high blood pressure.  In a study performed at Shariati Hospital in Tehran, hibiscus was shown to help lower high blood pressure by more than 10%. 

The remaining herbal ingredients (buchu leaves, juniper berry, and green tea extract) provide a nutrient blend of antioxidants and other substances beneficial to heart health.  Antioxidants protect the heart and other organs from excessive cell damage.
