  2. How does Calotren® work?
Calotren® is an all-natural collagen protein product. Collagen protein is necessary for healthy lean muscle, which burns fats and sugars more effectively. Calotren® helps your body to lose unwanted pounds and inches naturally.
  3. How long has collagen protein been used for weight loss and wellness?
Collagen protein has been safely used for over 30 years for wellness and weight loss.
  4. What is the source of the collagen protein in Calotren®?
The collagen protein in Calotren® is derived from beef. The beef is safe and has no health risks for consumers. With strict health inspections and testing, the beef utilized in Calotren® is certified to be BSE free (free from Mad Cow Disease).
  5. How can Calotren® help with other medical conditions?
Because collagen protein is utilized by our entire body and it's systems, many customers see improvement with various wellness/health issues. Decreased pain related to joint conditions, better sleep, an overall sense of wellness and other benefits are reported. Keep in mind, results vary from customer to customer with weight/inch loss and even wellness benefits.
  6. How soon can I expect to see results?
Results have shown that most individuals see some weight or inch loss in 4-6 weeks. This varies according to the individual, but customers also report side benefits like better sleep, more energy, and decreased joint pain.

  9. What does "too much yeast" have to do with my weight loss?
Too much yeast in your system can inhibit your weight loss results by preventing Calotren® (or any supplement) from absorbing effectively. For more information about the symptoms of yeast overgrowth, read about our simple at-home yeast test.
  10. Is Calotren® Gluten Free? The end result for Calotren® is Gluten Free, both the liquid and capsules option. The FDA recently made a change that if the product is produced using wheat, you cannot label it gluten-free even if the end product tests free from gluten.  Here is an explanation from our biochemist about how Calotren® Capsules are fermented with wheat but still gluten-free:

"The wheat is used for fermentation, but the enzymes produced by this process are purified to a point that virtually no trace of the wheat remains.  However, from a legal standpoint, the FDA requires that any allergen used during the production of an ingredient to be stated on the label.  While all companies should follow this requirement, many brands of enzymes do not.  We make sure to state all such allergens on our enzyme products even if no trace of the originating ingredient exists.

The wheat allergen on the label comes from the fermentation used for ProHydrolase, but every finished batch is tested to ensure the ingredient is gluten-free."

Also, if you prefer, our liquid doesn't have ProHydrolase in it.

   11.Is Calotren® tested on animals?

No. Calotren® is never animal tested.

Health Concerns

  1. Will Calotren® react with any of my medications?
No. Because Calotren® contains no drugs, caffeine, or stimulants, it does not interfere with any medication. Keep in mind, anything other than water or water with lemon can keep your stomach from absorbing Calotren® as effectively. While Calotren® will not interfere with medication, medication taken at bedtime can interfere with the effective absorption of Calotren®.

DO NOT CHANGE YOUR MEDICATION DOSAGES WITHOUT CONSULTING WITH YOUR PHYSICIAN.
If you are taking medications at bedtime that can safely be taken earlier, please do so for best results.

  2. Will Calotren® keep me awake?
No. Many of our customers find they sleep better and wake easier. Keep in mind, Calotren® has no sedatives or stimulants. Since collagen protein is utilized by your body in many ways, your system works better, bringing about an overall wellness.
  3. Will Calotren® cause any reactions with any health problems I have?
Not at all. If, however, you would like us to send some information to your physician, we would be more than happy to do so.
  4. Who cannot take Calotren®?
We do not recommend Calotren® for babies, children who have not yet reached puberty, pregnant women, or nursing mothers. If you have to limit your protein intake for medical reasons you should consult with your physician before starting Calotren®.  Also, if you have a thyroid problem that is not controlled with medication, you may experience trouble losing weight with this product.

Calotren® Regimen

  1. Why take Calotren® at night?
The most effective time to take Calotren® is immediately prior to going to sleep. When Calotren® is taken on an empty stomach at bedtime, it is absorbed quickly and is available to assist the lean muscle with the natural process of burning fats and sugars which occurs during the different phases of sleep. The second best way to take Calotren is first thing in the morning, and then wait about 30-45 minutes to eat or drink anything. You won't notice the sleep benefits this way but it will still work for weight loss.
  2. How do I know I have an empty stomach?
Two to three hours after your evening meal is an ideal time to ensure you have digested any food or beverage you may have consumed. A light meal may take less digestion time; however, two to three hours is an accepted time frame for any amount of food to be digested.
  3. Can I drink anything during the 3 hours prior to bedtime?
It is recommended to only drink water or water with lemon during the three-hour period before bedtime. While there are no interactions with any beverages, your stomach will not be considered empty, decreasing the effectiveness of Calotren®.
  4. Can I mix Calotren® liquid with water?
Some customers take Calotren® mixed with a glass of water or water with lemon. This is an alternative way to take the liquid if you are sensitive to taste.
  5. Do I have to change my diet?
With Calotren® you can still enjoy the foods you love while losing weight. Of course, a healthy diet with sensible portions and moderate exercise are always recommended for maximum results with any weight loss plan.

I messed up. What do I do?

  1. What do I do if I forget to take Calotren®?
If you forget to take Calotren® before you go to sleep, be sure you take it in the morning before you eat or drink anything (other than water). Take the recommended dosage (1 tbsp. liquid or four capsules), drink a glass of water, and wait 30 minutes before you eat or drink anything else. Resume your regular dosage that same night. While this may not be as effective as the recommended bedtime dosage, it will help to maintain the collagen protein level you have already reached in the body.
  2. Will it hurt me if I take Calotren® without waiting 3 hours after eating?
No. Calotren® will not interact with anything or result in any negative side effects if you do not have an empty stomach. However, Calotren® will not be absorbed as effectively.
  3. If I do not wait 3 hours after eating to go to sleep, is it better to skip Calotren®?
Not eating for two to three hours prior to taking Calotren® is recommended. If this is not possible,  take Calotren® the next morning, wait 30 minutes before you eat or drink, then resume Calotren® that same night. Of course, you can always drink water or water with lemon at any time, even during the recommended two to three hour period before bedtime.
  4. If I take Calotren® more than one time a day, will it make me sick?
No. There are 3 grams of protein per serving of Calotren®. We have many customers taking Calotren® both in the morning for wellness benefits and at bedtime for weight loss, and some even prior to exercise depending on their own individual needs.
  5. Will Calotren® hurt me if I drink alcohol?
No. There are no interactions or side effects with alcohol consumption when taking Calotren®; however, if you drink any beverage other than water or water with lemon during the two to three-hour period prior to bedtime, you will not absorb Calotren® as effectively.
